1. Introduction

Welcome to AbjadEnglish.

AbjadEnglish provides digital educational services designed to help children and students learn English through interactive lessons, exercises, vocabulary activities, general and curriculum-based learning paths, and AI-supported educational activities, depending on the features available.

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the AbjadEnglish website, application and related services, including user accounts, paid subscriptions, activation codes and educational content.

Please read these Terms carefully before using the platform or purchasing a subscription.

By using the platform, the user agrees to these Terms, subject to applicable legal-capacity and consent requirements. Where a user is a child or lacks the legal capacity required to agree, the necessary approval and actions must be completed by a parent or legal representative as required by applicable law.

2. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms:

• Platform: The AbjadEnglish website, application and related services.
• Operating Entity: The legal entity or establishment operating the platform and providing its services.
• User: Any person using the platform, including a student, parent or administrator.
• Parent or Legal Representative: A person legally authorized to supervise a child or act on the child’s behalf where required.
• Account: An electronic account created to access platform services.
• Educational Content: Lessons, exercises, questions, vocabulary, assessments, images, audio, files and other educational materials made available through the platform.
• Subscription: A paid plan that grants access to specified features for a defined period.
• Activation Code: A code used to activate a subscription or provide specified benefits under its applicable terms.
• Artificial Intelligence or AI: Technology used to support content generation, activities or educational features.

3. Eligibility and Children’s Use

AbjadEnglish is intended for children and students. A child’s use of the platform should be appropriately supervised by a parent or legal representative in accordance with applicable law.

The user or parent, as applicable, agrees to provide accurate registration information and not to use another person’s information without authorization or a lawful basis.

Required consent must be obtained for account creation and personal-data processing where applicable law requires it.

The platform must not be used in a manner that violates the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

4. Accounts and Security

Certain services may require an account and the provision of registration information.

Users must:

1. Provide accurate and up-to-date information.
2. Keep login credentials confidential.
3. Avoid sharing accounts or access codes in a manner that violates subscription terms.
4. Notify the operating entity if unauthorized account use is suspected.
5. Avoid attempting to access other users’ accounts or data.
6. Avoid disrupting the platform, bypassing security measures or gaining unauthorized access to its systems.

Appropriate measures may be taken to protect accounts and systems where there are reasonable indications of unauthorized use, subject to applicable rights and legal requirements.

5. Educational Services

Depending on the features available, AbjadEnglish may provide:

• Interactive English lessons.
• General and curriculum-based learning paths.
• Content suited to a student’s grade or learning level.
• Reading, listening, writing and speaking activities.
• Pronunciation and shadowing practice.
• Vocabulary, flashcards and a personal vocabulary bank.
• Placement tests and lesson reviews.
• Points, achievements, challenges and leaderboards.
• AI-supported educational content and activities.
• Additional educational features that may be introduced in the future.

Available features may vary depending on account type, subscription, educational stage and platform version.

6. Educational Content and Artificial Intelligence

The platform aims to support English learning and provide opportunities for practice.

Certain features may use AI to generate questions, exercises or educational activities from files or learning materials, or to support reading, listening, writing and speaking activities.

The user acknowledges that:

• AI-generated content may contain errors or require review.
• Activities and results may vary depending on the technology used.
• The platform does not guarantee a particular score in a school or standardized examination.
• Learning outcomes depend on the student’s level, practice, consistency and other factors.
• The educational content is not a substitute for specialist educational guidance where needed.

We make reasonable efforts to maintain the quality and accuracy of educational content but do not guarantee that all materials will be entirely error-free.

7. Free Access and Paid Subscriptions

The platform may provide free content and content requiring a paid subscription.

The features and number of free lessons available to free users are determined by the information displayed on the platform.

The subscription page will describe the relevant paid plans, including:

• Price.
• Subscription duration.
• Included features.
• Usage limits, if any.
• Subscription start and expiry dates.
• Renewal and cancellation terms, depending on the plan.

Users must be able to review the applicable plan details, price and terms before completing a purchase.

A subscription does not grant access to benefits beyond those specified for the purchased plan.

8. Prices, Taxes and Discounts

Prices are displayed in Saudi Riyals unless otherwise stated.

The final price and applicable taxes or fees, if any, must be disclosed before the purchase is completed.

Prices for future subscriptions may change, subject to the terms accepted by the user when purchasing a subscription and any rights provided by applicable law.

Where a discount or promotional offer is available, its conditions, duration and applicable purchase price will be disclosed.

Promotional offers may not be combined unless their terms expressly permit it.

9. Electronic Payments

Payments are processed through the payment gateway used by the platform, such as Moyassar, or another provider that may be introduced in the future.

Users must use a payment method they are authorized to use and provide the information required to complete the transaction.

A payment may require approval from the user’s bank or payment provider or additional verification.

A subscription order is not considered complete until payment is confirmed and the subscription is activated in accordance with the platform’s procedures.

If a payment is deducted but the subscription is not activated, the user may contact support so the transaction can be reviewed and addressed.

Payment-data processing is subject to the payment provider’s terms and policies and applicable legal requirements.

10. Subscription Duration and Renewal

The subscription page will state whether a plan expires at the end of its term or includes automatic renewal.

Where automatic renewal applies, this must be disclosed to the user, together with the relevant terms, before the purchase is completed.

Users may cancel renewal through the method available in their account or by contacting support where necessary.

When renewal is cancelled, future renewal will stop, and access to paid features will continue until the end of the period already paid for, unless a lawful or valid contractual provision requires otherwise.

Cancelling renewal does not necessarily entitle the user to a refund for the paid period, subject to applicable cancellation and refund rights under Saudi law.

11. Cancellation and Refunds

Subscription cancellation and refund requests are handled in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the transaction terms disclosed to the user before purchase.

The handling of a request may depend on the nature of the service, the timing of the request, whether the user has started using or benefited from the service, and any applicable statutory exceptions.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove a consumer’s cancellation or refund rights provided by applicable law.

If a user experiences a payment issue, is charged incorrectly or pays without receiving an activated subscription, the user may contact support and provide the relevant transaction details for review.

A separate, clear Cancellation and Refund Policy should be published to reflect the nature of the digital subscriptions, the platform’s actual operation and applicable legal requirements.

12. Activation Codes and Promotions

The platform may offer activation codes, discounts or promotional offers providing specified benefits.

Codes are subject to the terms disclosed when issued and may include:

• A defined validity period.
• A specified subscription plan or duration.
• A defined number of lessons or benefits.
• Restrictions on use or the number of activations.

Codes must not be used fraudulently or contrary to their stated terms.

An invalid, expired or previously used code may be rejected, subject to the disclosed terms and the user’s statutory rights.

13. Acceptable Use

Users must use the platform for lawful educational purposes.

Users must not:

1. Copy, redistribute or sell protected content without authorization.
2. Bypass subscriptions, technical restrictions or access controls.
3. Collect other users’ data or extract content automatically without authorization.
4. Disrupt the platform, interfere with its technical infrastructure or attempt unauthorized access.
5. Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual-property rights.
6. Use the platform for unlawful or fraudulent activities.
7. Impersonate another person or provide misleading information.
8. Misuse AI features, voice recordings or other platform features.

The operating entity may take appropriate action in response to violations, taking into account the nature and seriousness of the violation and applicable legal rights and procedures.

14. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the AbjadEnglish brand, platform design, interfaces, original content, educational materials and software elements are subject to intellectual-property rights owned by or licensed to their respective owners.

Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the platform and its content for permitted educational purposes, subject to their account type and subscription terms.

Users must not copy, distribute, sell, modify or commercially exploit content without the necessary authorization from the rights holder.

The platform may include materials or services owned by third parties. Rights in those materials remain with their respective owners and are subject to applicable terms.

15. User-Provided Files and Content

Where the platform allows users to upload files, text, recordings or other materials, users represent that they own the necessary rights or have obtained the required permissions.

Users grant the operating entity the limited permission technically necessary to process the content and operate the requested feature, such as generating exercises from educational materials, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

Uploading content does not transfer ownership of the user’s intellectual-property rights to the operating entity.

Users must not upload personal data or confidential materials belonging to others without appropriate authorization or a lawful basis.

16. Availability and Maintenance

We seek to provide a stable and secure platform. However, services may occasionally experience interruptions, delays or errors due to maintenance, updates, technical failures or factors beyond our reasonable control.

Some features may need to be temporarily suspended for maintenance, repairs or updates.

Nothing in this section releases the operating entity from any mandatory legal or contractual obligation.

17. Limitation of Liability

The platform provides digital educational services according to the features described to users.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or identical educational outcomes for all users.

To the extent permitted by law, the operating entity is not responsible for harm resulting from use in violation of these Terms or from causes beyond its reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

18. Suspension or Termination

An account may be suspended, restricted or terminated for a legitimate reason, such as a material breach of these Terms, fraudulent use or an attempt to compromise platform security.

Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will explain the reason for or effect of the action.

Account termination does not automatically extinguish financial or legal rights that arose before termination.

Any paid subscription period or refund request will be handled according to the applicable terms and laws.

19. Privacy and Personal Data

Personal data processed through the platform is governed by the AbjadEnglish Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains the categories of data that may be collected, the purposes of processing, the parties with whom data may be shared, and the rights of data subjects and how to exercise them.

These Terms should be read together with the Privacy Policy without diminishing any rights granted by applicable law.

20. Changes to the Services and Terms

We may update the services or these Terms to reflect technical changes, product development or legal requirements.

The date of the latest update will appear on this page. We will provide notice of material changes or obtain any required consent where applicable law requires it.

Changes are not intended to remove mandatory user rights or retroactively alter the terms of a previous transaction without a lawful basis.

22. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises, the user may contact the operating entity to seek an amicable resolution, without prejudice to either party’s right to refer the matter to the competent judicial or regulatory authority under applicable law.

23. General Provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or contrary to applicable law, the remaining provisions will remain effective to the extent permitted by law.

Failure to exercise a right at a particular time does not constitute a waiver of that right.

These Terms take effect on the date they are published on the platform.
